You've got the knockout dress, the killer heels and the perfect clutch, but your New Year's Eve ensemble isn't complete without the mesmerizing mani to match. While you could opt for something subtle, we think ringing in 2014 calls for more a bit more glamour than your everyday look. That's why we tasked celebrity manicurist Elisa Wishan with creating a festive New Year's Eve manicure with just the right amount of glitz. If you're counting down 'til the clock strikes midnight, you might as well do so on dazzling digits.

You'll need gold polish, black polish, matte top coat and gold glitter polish to create this party-ready manicure. We used Venique's Golden Age of Beauty, OPI's Black Onyx, Butter London's Matte Finish and Milani Cosmetic's Golden Romance.

Start with clean, filed nails. Square nails lend themselves well to this geometric design, but you can create this manicure on any shape nails. For maximum staying power, use a base coat to help the polish adhere to your nails.

Apply two coats of gold polish to your nails. This polish will peek out from the black polish so don't worry making it perfect.

After the gold polish is completely dry, apply black polish in a swooping motion to leave a strip of visible gold polish that runs along your moon and your inner nail. Starting at the moon of your nail gently drag the brush toward your inner nail, being sure to leave a small strip of gold along your inner nail, and then up to the tip of your nail.

Apply a coat of gold glitter polish on top of the gold polish to add a bit of festive sparkle.

To create textural contrast, apply a matte top coat over the black polish. Be sure not to cover the glitter polish with the matte top coat.
